Day 3. Ngorongoro conservation Area & Crater; We will pick you up after breakfast and our guide will present you all the relevant information during the drive. Ngorongoro Crater views from above are breathtaking but the real magic happens when you get down inside and drive among its incredible wildlife including, amongst others, rhinos, lions, a bunch of giraffes, elephants, leopards and wonderful zebras running free amongst the wildebeests. It is the largest intact crater in the world with an estimated average of 30,000 large mammals. You will also be able to enjoy a great bird watching experience while having lunch in the lake. At the end of the day we will drive you at Rhino Lodge.
Day 4-5-6. Serengeti National; The 4rd day will start with a boosting breakfast and a few hours drive to the Serengeti. Once there we will have lunch and start the game drive through its endless plains of savannah, riverine forests and woodlands. You will not forget your first encounter with the Serengeti and the feeling of nature at its finest, a last remnant of unspoilt wilderness where animals can wander about free. Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp, This Park is famous for the migration involving about 1.5 million wildebeests, 200,000 zebras and followers. The game drive will continue during the 5th day and the morning of the 6th day. In the afternoon we will be heading to Lake Natron area for overnight at Giraffe Lodge. Nobody comes back from Serengeti unchanged.
Day 7. Lake Natron; We will leave early after breakfast to go to Lake Natron, a soda lake at the base of the active Ol Donyo Lengai volcano. The views are splendid; the area around Lake Natron is often described as having a desolate and almost lunar beauty. From June to November at the lake itself, upwards of three million flamingos gather; this is one of the most stirring wildlife spectacles in East Africa. In the afternoon we will be heading to Lake Manyara View Lodge/Luxury Tented Camp, nearby Lake Eyasi for overnight.
Day 8. Lake Eyasi (Hunting tour): A very interesting day where you are going to meet Hadzabe tribe, located in the south side of Serengeti, in the surroundings of the uniquely beautiful Lake Eyasi (also known as Salt Lake). The size of the lake varies significantly depending on the rains, and supports a wide range of waterbirds including huge breeding-season (June to November) populations of flamingos and pelicans. You will enjoy a walk around with the guide explaining the reality of the tribe nowadays. The Hadzas gather fruits and hunt in their daily life for surviving, it’s a good opportunity to go for a hunting tour. Before we say goodbye to them we usually carry with us some sugar, maize, beans, corn flour and anything else that you think can be helpful for their daily life. At the end of the day we will be heading back to Arusha with the nostalgic felling of an ended adventure and you will shake hands with the guide and cook.
